When I started to post the recipe for Paleo Panfried Tilapia Fillets I was reminded of a scene from Finding Nemo.
Fish are friends, not food.
Whatever, Nemo.
Fish happens to be a very yummy protein and full of wonderful things like Omega 3s. And as a bonus, I find it is something I can run to the store to pick up and prepare within minutes without needing to marinate for long.
Paleo Panfried Tilapia Fillets is a really easy dish to prepare and I can go from unwrapping the fish to eating it in under 10 minutes.
Paleo Panfried Tilapia Fillets Ingredients:
- Butter or Extra Virgin Olive Oil
to grease pan - Fresh Tilapia (or other variety) fish fillets
- Squeeze of lemon juice
- Salt and pepper
Paleo Panfried Tilapia Fillets Directions:
- Wash and pat dry the fillets
- Squeeze lemon juice onto fillets and season with salt and pepper
- Heat up butter or oil in pan
- Fry fish about 3-4 minutes per side. The flesh should be firm to the touch. You can cut into the thickest part and check that it should not be translucent
- Serve as is with a simple balsamic dressing or this amazing Hollandaise sauce
This was for dinner tonight. Having seafood was a very nice change of pace for us.
Dress it up with some parsley and serve with a nice salad. I hope you enjoy it!
What’s covering the fish? What’s the yellow sauce.
Hi Lyn,
The yellow sauce is handmade hollandaise. I have the recipe here – http://crunchymama.net/julia-childs-hollandaise-sauce-the-hard-way/
